Hi y'all,
My name is Mark I picked up a 1997 sc400 pearl white last night after receiving my insurance check for my totaled 06 focus R.I.P. Mine has only 93k mi on it the interior is perfect everything is in mint condition except for the power steering line leak and noise. I bought from a one Owner 72yr old lady. The lady gave me the folder with all the service records. I love the car so far, I feel like I stole the car paying only $7,250 what do y'all think? Did I do good?

I've been on the forum long enough without a formal introduction! I recently purchased my SC in October from another member, sc5danny, and drove it all the way from Miami to the northern border of Indiana. I did the entire trip straight through, only stopping for coffee. The car made the haul perfectly, but driving 23+ hours with no cruise control was a leg burner. Having boost on hand made up for it, though. The car is a '93 5-speed with a 1JZ-GTE VVti and R154 swap, and it also has some other minor mods like exhaust, suspension, and wheels. I'm currently doing a black interior swap, and then I plan to do new wheels, air suspension, and a new paint job. Here's a pic of the car before I got it.
Here's my other love...'86 Silver Nautque 2001 inboard ski boat with a Ford 351, 1 of 82 made. I fully restored it over the past three years.
Lastly, here's my old project car...5-speed TRD supercharged Solara with a built and bored motor that I did myself. This was a fun car, but it lacked RWD.
Thanks for reading!

Hello all and let me introduce myself
Hello there
after owning a Honda Prelude 3trd gen for 16 years i looked for a good replacement
my eye fell on the Lexus SC 400 which is a rare car in Holland , only 32 known and don't know how many are still on the road
after reading loads on this forum who helped me allot especially a thread about choosing be-twine a low mileage expensive car and a high mileage cheap ride , i picked a sc400 with only 146 k km ( 91k miles) car with 1 previous owner and full service history
the car is in mint condition but had been stored for 3 years which concerns me a little but i have to see what the car will like in the coming months , i can get the car next Saturday and will say goodbye to my old Prelude which i loved dearly of its handling with the 4 wheel steering
It has a beige interior who need some TLC and i will do that in the coming months
The SC 400 is never officially sold here in Holland but this is 1 of the two SC400 who has been imported as a advertising stunt car back in 1992 by our main Toyota dealer , that's why i have a Canadian spec car because it has a kilometer speedometer
I'm looking forward to too work on the car and read as much as i can on this forum and after spending years on Prelude.com and Preludepower.com i know what is expected to be a forum member
only thing i can't find i a repair manual like i used to have for my prelude on PDF format which i can upload on my tablet for working on the car , i hope someone can help me on that part so i can download the oem manual
any ideas on what parts i should change to improve my ride are welcome
my old Lude
my new ride
many would see the similarity of the model although the Lexus is more complicated in build
thx for reading my thread and i hope i can be help full in the future

Bought my first Lexus
I just bought my 92 SC400 last week. I am pretty stoked, as it looks like a gem. I read all about the cars (sc300/400) for several days on this forum and elsewhere before making the move. The car has 59,800 miles on it and everything checks out including several CarFax’s in the past 2 years and the service receipts since it was new. Seems to be the original paint even, although it looks awfully good.
I think I got a pretty good deal ($6000 cash), as the previous owner (the second) only had the car for a year and spent over $19,000 purchasing it and fixing every possible problem area, whether it needed it or not. Then he got bored, or maybe tired of spending money in handfuls. I also have all (I think) receipts from the time the car was purchased, including the original window sticker. The original owner put a LOT of money into it maintaining it, but then he did have it for almost 20 years. How many cars have I had and fixed in the last 20 years!
Still has a few flaws, like a passenger door electric lock which only sort’a works and a speedo which doesn’t, although the ODO does. The driver’s seat is bad, but I have an appointment in a few weeks to fix that.
Just going to keep it original and wait for it to become a collector’s item. And drive it as our second car. It is a great driving car! Haven’t had this much fun since my exciting but unlamented Pantera I bought new in 1973. Or maybe my OSCA racing car I drove around the streets of Ft. Lauderdale in the late 1960’s

Hello,
I am not new to Club Lexus, however I recently bought (12/7) a 1999 Golden Pearl White Lexus SC300. This is my second Lexus as I own 1999 Lexus GS300 as well. I love this site as it has helped me tremendously!

Hello, I've just joined the forum today, but I've owned my SC4 for about 18 months. I've also got an RX300, and I've had an IS before, so you can say I'm a Lexus fan. I've had a lot of cars before including a turbo Impreza, an MX5, two AE86's and I've currently got an R32 Skyline, but the old SC400 is easily one of my favorite cars.

Hello everyone! Finally decided to join up after a couple of weeks of reading and researching on the board. I do not, or never have owned a lexus/toyota but I am getting quite deep into one helping a friend out with his swap. so again, hello, and hope I can get this thing done, and get to play with another project.
