Hey, I'm Allan. I've just inherited a 92 sc400 that's in pretty decent shape. I'm looking forward to getting it back to stock condition and then the rest I'll tackle when the time comes.

Sup,
Names Matt, I'm new to CL just got a 92 SC400 a week ago. Pretty new to Lexus/Toyota's been a Mazda guy my whole life (RX7's&Miata's). Got this car because I wanted something more luxury with AC, and I was tired of driving standard! Very excited to jump on this new project, hopefully the 1UZ lasts me a long time!

Heres a pic of what I'm working with currentlyName: photo5.jpg

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what type of rims are on the car, I've been searching online for them but have no luck so far. Any help would be appreciated! Picture is kinda bunk all I have is a camera phone sadly.. heres another look at them

Long time lurker & finally decided to sign up.

I've owned a few Acuras & now currently own a 07 Toyota FJ Cruiser & strongly considering going back into a Japanese sports car. Really considering a 97 & up SC300.

I've already leaned alot by just reading so I basically have an idea on the outcome of my SC300 build/ upgrade. All your input & suggestions along my build will be always appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm new to the SC model. I've mainly been a Mustang guy, but I have had everything from a mid 11's 5.0 to a MX83 Cressida, 300zx turbo etc. I was saving to get a SC300/400 and found a decent 92 in Texas I had to ****** up. Everything is functional, power train is solid, no leaks of burning and I only have $2500 in it so I came out lucky SO FAR, lol
I already made a BFI and have a set of Spintechs I'm going to get installed soon. Future main mods include a big tranny oil cooler and nitrous.

Hey guys, been a lurker quite some time. But now I think it's time to get out of the shadows.. heh. Got a '95 SC400 that was repainted by the previous owner. (Black, no clue what kind of black tbh) Came installed with HID lights (no clue what kind, etc.) Right off the bat, my sc's trunk struts had to get replaced, rear window seals had to get replaced, and right now my passenger auto lock doesnt work.

Right now there's a set of 17" OEM wheels from an IS300 with tires wit about 1000 miles on them. Once I get money, I'm thinking of getting those wheels for $600. Tell me what you guys think about that price guys, haha. And next upgrade I plan on doing is new set of coilovers. I plan on not doing TOO much stuff, being that i'm currently a freshman uni student and i rely on my sc as a daily. Also, I'm literally just starting to learn about cars and all that.. so I'll likely be asking a ton of questions. Thank guys!

BTW I go to SDSU, so any sdsu guys out there or anyone living in SD we should probably chill sometime.. help me out with installing parts on my car( don't wanna sound like a moocher doe)...,

Default new guy just saying hi

Hello everyone, my name is Chad and im an the the proud owner of a 1992 sc400 as of yesterday!! here in Indiana its difficult to find any car that's not rusted out but after a few months of searching I have found my baby! Shes a 92 sc400 with only 118640 miles and no rust. ive been looking for a nice 240sx or rx-7 when I stumbled onto this sc and I immediately fell in love. I did some research and found that these cars are unstoppable and are fairly inexpensive to keep going. My idea for the car is to make her a proper street machine so now I begin my journey..

oh yeah im from Indianapolis so get at me

whats up guys my name is Jose im new to the CL forum not so much the scene, I own a 92 SC300 Auto i picked up for 2200 no major dents or dings just some paint faded and small scratches. I plan on going the 1J Auto route, this is my first auto ever and im already enjoy not shifting gears for a change but who know i may swap in a manual. believe it or not this was one of my first option to own in high school but i bought a AW11 mr2 and did a 20V swap. The main reason im doing this is so i can inquire about some of the group buys and what not.
