Hey whats good? My names Lisa im a 23 year old college student from the vacationland - Maine. Aka the northern Alabama >.> I just bought a 95 Lexus SC400 Automatic 137,000 miles at a small private used dealership for $4549 (including 5% sales tax) - hope i didn't get jipped! Tomorrow I will have owned the car for a week! Just got the insurance which is 155$ a month for liability X-D and getting it registered today! woohoo.. lol

I have seen this forum a couple times and decided to join after I found out about some torque converter upgrades from answers.yahoo.com and when all the local car audio installers and retailers keep talking to me with a dumbfounded tone when I ask about upgrading my speakers like they haven't got a clue about the car.. lol so i figured being a novice it would be wise to join a forum with a lot more knoweldge than I in this subject matter.

Here's some pics of it the day I test drove it before I decided to buy it

Hey! What's up. My name's Jon. I just picked up a 5-speed '93 SC300 last night. No pictures unfortunately but it's running pretty strong, just needs some interior work.

Can anyone tell me what the absolute best few SC300 performance parts websites exist. I've been to horsepowerfreaks.com and they've got a good selection, I'm just looking for more options but I don't know whats out there.

Besides the SC300, I have a 94 3000GT VR4 and an NA 91 Dodge Stealth. The VR4 is my drag/street car, the Stealth and the SC300 are both going to be daily drivers while one or the other are under the wrench but eventually, the SC300 will be my first drift car and the Stealth will be restored as a classic in a few years.

That's about it for me. Anyone reading this and has some good informational resources for my SC3, please PM me with any details. That'd be excellent!

hey everyone. Just joined the site a few days ago. I bought my first sc300 back in April 09 for $5000 with 139k on it. Fell in love with it. The car was in very good condition (cosmetically) for a 93 except for the usual problems with sc's. All stock as of now but planning on a wheel and tire combo and a suspension upgrade.

Looks nice, its the same color as my old one. It sounds like a good deal for a dealer.

Hello CL
Just bought my first car last week, which is a 92 sc400 with 204,xxx miles on it. Friends and family all said to buy a used Honda or Toyota 'cause of its reliability, but I knew I wouldn't be happy with it. So when a friend showed me an sc400 on Craigslist, at that moment, my search was over. One of the best looking cars I have ever seen. Stock. And I just had to have one.
Now every time I drive, I have a grin or smile on my face

I have been on this forum browsing and reading anything related to sc400s during the past couple of days, and I'm actually having fun learning more and more about it. Loving the DIY tutorial threads the most, props to the guys that took the time to share their knowledge. I'm hoping to keep mines for as long as possible, so any suggestions would be much appreciated!

hey guys/gals. just picked up my 93 SC300 5-sp swap about a week ago. first mod was to drive from seattle down to San Diego, where I'm currently staying indefinitely with my pops. lovin' the sunshine!

it needs a lot of work but its a solid car and definitely the most mature, complete, lux car i've owned. i love it!

I come from humble honda roots. my first car was an integra GSR. since then i've owned another integra, two s13 240s (a hatch and a coupe), SORT OF owned an s2000 but sadly that was short lived. and now im in an SC! a car ive always admired and wanted to own!!! the timing was just right and there was no way i was gonna make that road trip in a 240!!! lol.

so here I am! hope to learn a lot, and to fix this car up to be one of the cleanest around!!

pics will come when i start my progress thread.

Copying my post from my thread I just made, failed to notice this thread!

Hows it goin everyone. I'm a current Nissan Z owner, but will have both of my Z cars up for sale and will be looking for a new ride. I've been trying to make up my mind, and have decided to go with a boosted sc300. I've been browsing the forums the past couple days trying to absorb info on these cars. I'm just looking for pages you guys could point me too for info on what to look for or lookout for etc. Looking forward to picking one up in the next month or two!

Heres my buddies car that got me hooked on these. Swapped 2jz w/ 6spd
