Default New Member Intro

Hey y'all, my name is Dallas Willey, I'm an 18 year old soon-to-be college student at the University of Delaware. I have been the extremely lucky and proud owner of a beautiful 1995 SC400 for about 21 months now. It was in very good condition when I got it, except for some chips and cracks in the paint, so I got a respray in a color close to Fire Engine Red. I wash and wax it a few times a week, and add different detailers such as Tire Black frequently. I call her Lexi (probably not too original, I know) and she is my pride and joy. She currently sits a little over 131k miles.

I want to join this forum in case I have questions that can be answered or if I need help. I have been a "lurker" for a few days, so might as well make it official. Feel free to ask me any questions about my car, I will be happy to answer. Below are a few pics of her. Have a good day y'all.

Exclamation Jlex400 coming on board

Im a newbee crossing over from the Benz addiction. needed some class, speed and dignity without sacrificing the integrity of my bank account.
I found a 92 SC400 with a beautiful body but needed TLC, I came to the rescue like a Christian John to hooker and was there to hear her cry.
Im convinced like many other legacy revivors that when I go thru whats under the hood even Viagra will pale with jealousy and eyes will tear up with envy. Oh and BTW remind me periodically not to allow my wife to go durby with this mid wifey like with the Benz. Send me Well wishes Please and any help you can surrender. HALLLA!

Hello, I just picked up my SC300 2JZGTE VVTi, and I plan to become a Master Soarer. Pics will be posted one day, but for now I'm going to remain undercover.

Hello my name is Gabriel, This is my first Lexus and therefore my first sc400
I found it on craigslist with 137k on the odometer and a price tag of 3690$ (Got him down to 3100$) I drove it and absolutely LOVED the feeling of being in the Lex, I also knew that it pretty much being a toyota that it had a bulletproof engine. It's fairly quick, it's classy and its kind of a rare car at least in my area (Springfield MO) lol. Anyway I don't know much about this car mechanically because I've been more of a Swedish and German car guy. But I have some plans for this car and plan on keeping it until the wheels fall off. My plans are a new steering wheel maybe a momo? I know you can use a supra hub.. new stereo as in a new headunit and 4 new speakers. 6.5" in the back and 4" in the front, also overall just cleaning up the interior I think I'll get some vinyl wrap to cover the faded wood trim. I was going to paint it black but I forgot how much of a project painting that sort of material is lol. I'll have more pictures soon but I just replaced the rear brake pads and thus far thats the only mechanical problem to be seen.
I'll have more pictures soon!

My name is Greg and I am picking up a 1995 SC400 tonight. It is the blue silver color, black leather interior and has absolutely zero modifications, not even tinted windows. The car only has 98000 miles and very few cosmetic issues, mostly just small light scratches. As soon as I get it all cleaned up I'll post up some pics. The car runs and drives great. Only issue I could find is the valve cover gaskets are leaking. Once I get it home it'll go on the lift for a very thorough once over.

Default Hey there

Hey everyone,
Been a meaning to register here for a while... or maybe a few years... but better late than never, right?
So, I'm Sean, a third year carded 'Motor Vehicle Body Repairer' apprentice (man that seems like a long title). I've had my Soarer for 4ish years now, been summer driving it for 3 summers. Bought two to make one, one decent body and clean vin but pooped mechanically, one real nice mechanically sound insurance write off. And I'll try some pics, if i can from my phone

Hey guys! ( and girls what's up to you too!) my name is nic and I'm a very new Lexus owner! I've wanted one for quite sometime now and finally got my hands on this 93 sc400. Few minor problems that I need to fix here and there but noting major at all. I'm really looking forward to being apart of this forum! Can't wait to hear from some of you guys (or girls) about your builds, advise, and help!

welcome to the forums. you will find a lot of useful info on here. just make sure you use the search button before you ask a question about something. if you dont use that search button first, you will prolly get flamed on here by other OG members.

what are your plans for your SC?

Hello, so I bought a 97 SC300 about two months ago and have already started chatting about the Turbo questions with members on this thread. My car only had 116K when purchased and it was very well maintained. I am an ex-boost member (MKIII) which ended up blowing a head gasket so I am going to pursue this one a little bit more carefully.

I do enjoy driving the car very much but it needs some extra hp to a quick car out of the box. Most of the time I probably won't even need the boost but it is nice to have handy. I enjoy the luxury this car offers so i am not sure I want to take that away first. I am not taking the car to the Track or anything so basically I just want something respectable to live to the 2JZ name. :-)

Thanks.

Ash

Nice ride really clean. How do you like it compared to the mk3? I was a previous mk3 owner myself.
