New to the SC300 Club...
Hi! My name is Erica.
I bought my 93 c300 last year with 68k miles on it. Overall the car was in good running condition. The interior leather a little beat up (cracking leather on the seats and rear seat back).
I came across the forum when I was looking for the part number for a driver's side rod retainer clip. I'm having my door replaced after my niece crashed into a pole on Thanksgiving...
Anyhow... does anyone know what I should expect to pay to repair the door and frame? Thanks and I'm looking forward to being an sc owner for at least 200k more miles!

Hi, I inherited my mother's old 96 SC400 when I moved down to California for work (former Washingtonian). My dad's been in possession of it for a while but it sat under some trees and the coat/paint is looking pretty haggard at the moment.
The old bird definitely needs some TLC, with over 220k on the clock, but I think it's definitely worth it. Things that I think need immediate attention are the front brakes, they squeal and I'm not very confident going at speed with them, so I have most of the parts lined up for the LS400 BBK swap (calipers, rotors, wheels to clear the calipers, just waiting for Titan Motorsports to ship my those Supra TT Stainless steel brake lines). I'm guessing the LCA needs to be swapped to and the shocks seem worn out in the rear. Trunk struts need to be replaced (I have the replacement parts for them, I just need to get a blow torch or heat gun to loosen up that locktite) and of course the antennae is kill (another replacement waiting to be swapped in).
Interior needs some freshening up (split leather in the door panels, climate control LCD is bleeding, center fan vents busted from age, seats needs replacing, audio system updated/fixed, etc.) Obviously the exterior needs a refresh, so that'll be in the works too. A lot of work a head of me, but I'm really stoked to work on it and start to make it mine and mod it. End goal is to R154 and 2JZ-GTE swap it, but definitely the R154 sooner than later.

Greetings, hola, konichiwa
Hey clublexus, my names Riley, I just purchased a 95 sc400. Drivetrain looks great but has many small quarks such as ripped seats and such. I love the car so far, it's great to get back into somthing rwd (coming from a miata) definately apreciate the extra push the v8 has. My plan for this car is to do a manual swap and have it as a fun little weekend car.
