Default New to the forums!! New SC400!!

Hello everyone! about a month ago I was searching for the perfect car and was looking mostly for a lexus, wether is300 or sc300 or sc400. I was searching and never really found one that was in a good state but surely enough got very very lucky and picked up a beautiful sc400 I fell inlove with!
Car currently has 159k miles is a 92 and has basically jus stock with a full apexi exhaust. I am going to be building this car for mostly street racing just to have fun with it nothing serious, might hit the drag strip a couple of times but car is my daily so don't want to rag it too much (until the car is built right that is). with all that said happy to be part of the lexus community hope to get help from all you and learn a couple things as I have never dealt with a lexus or v8! (come from a acura integra which motor blew on me...) I will e posting as many pics as I can soon as I figure out how too lol cheers!

Welcome to the community and congrats on your first SC400 , a car with a very robust engine if well maintained !

On the stickies above , there is a thread that summarizes the links for different threads that pertains to our beloved car and surely will help on your search for a particular topic .

If taken care of, you shouldn't experience a blown motor on this one...not only is it a Lexus, it's a V8.

Welcome to Club Lexus and enjoy your new SC! It has lot's of life left.

Welcome to CL! Nice pick up, she looks pretty clean? What wheels are those, sort of look like FISKE wheels?

Are you sure those are Fikse wheels? Those are like $6k wheels that I doubt someone just throws in with the car without doubling the asking price.

Nice looking Sc. Always a plus to buy one with mods.

I would also like to know the offset. Must be high in the rear not to rub.

I definitely would like to go wider in the rear. My vvti. Easily cooks the tires on the 17s. Luckily I haven't gotten an LSD yet. I'd be everywhere lol. Might weld the diff until the summer.

Again, GREAT pick up. Looks perfect the way she is. Just focus on little things and just make her a bit faster. t
