In comparing the two I would say still keep the SC at least here in STL u hardly see SC's here and never modified..we have a unique car that u don't see everyday where I see g35's left and right. I have 5 friends that have g35's two are in my Car Club and they get tired of seeing the same car at car shows and on the car scene! Just my .02 cents though, both are clean very mod friendly cars!

I used to want a G35 or 37.. I just picked up a near mint 1995 SC 400 and get more looks than a G35 or 37.
Best thing is that my baby is bone stock except Hids and Limo tint. Cant wait to lower it and slap some rims .

I owned a 07 G35 6mt sedan which are rare. It was quick, light on its feet, and was pretty good overall. No rattles or squeaks, even after driving it over 87k miles. BUT, it just didn't do anything for me as far as design or overall materials quality. The SC design is timeless, the G is just kinda bland to me, even after lowering and throwing on some wheels, just did not get me excited. And the engine, compared to my V8, it is HARSH.. you feel the vibrations and it just doesn't feel refined like the Lexus. And honestly, it has possibly one of the worst feeling shifters, notchy, throws are not short, not long, just in between. And the clutch, it's on/off so it 's difficult to modulate off the line. Compared to the S2000, Mustang, or any other gearbox, it's mediocre.

i've always liked the first gen g35's... but their interiors are SO crappy. i just can't believe they couldn't engineer it better. they totally cheaped out in my opinion.

I personally drove my brothers G35 for one week and enjoyed it. The car is nice and quick and sounds awesome with update technology.

When I got back in my SC I realized how great the SC is compared to the G35.

The g35 seats is very uncomfortable and the back seats are pretty much useless (coupe)

If I was you I would keep the SC and go na-t. Also people that are saying get a G35 and swap in a 2jz-gte should be banned from giving opinions. There is no logic in that what so ever.

If more power is what the OP wants, he should honestly look into a 98+ SC400, out of the box those are really nice cars and aside from lacking some electronic options that G35 has (navigation for example), it's a MUCH more solid car than a G will ever be.
