SC400 door lock problem...
Hi everyone,
My door locks on my 92 sc400 will intermittently lock by itself without touching the switch. I don't know why it's doing this. Could It be a ground issue somewhere? Any insight would be appreciated.

Ha - mine does the same thing, but fortunately, never with the keys in the car. Frequently, I'll pull into the garage, lock the car, go in the house. Then I'll think of something I need in the car and hit the unlock switch. Go out to the garage, and just before opening the door, damn thing locks itself. Happens all the time, no idea why, but since it only does it when the key fob is outside the car, haven't worried much about it.

OH OH OH... PICK ME!
I just had this problem... SAME problem. Driving down the road my locks would freak out by themself. Locks and windows would intermittently work.
You... my good sir... have a broken wire in the door loom. Its kinda a pain in the ***, but you have to take the door panel off, unplug the 3 connectors in the left kick panel that go through the body to the door. pull the wires all the way through.. peel the rubber cover back, cut the factory electrical tape and find the broken wire. Repair the wire (you may need to add a small piece of wire so that its not too tight) tape the **** out of it and call it good! Fixed mine 2 weeks ago, and havent had a problem since.
