Me: Sadly, not yet. It's a GE not GTE
Douche: So its the ****ty one? my SR is turbo
Me: It's a 2jz, either way it's one of the best engines to ever be produced.

Me: I've built numerous Chevy small blocks, v6's v8's.
Kid: I've built at least 10 SR's and KAs in Japan
Teacher: So you have experience measuring out engines and what-not?
Me: Of course.
Kid: No, i'm so good at it I can do it by eye...


this kid is never coming near my car. All he does is talk about his "oversea connections" and how he's going to rent out a parking garage for $1,000 bucks and have a "Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift style drifting competition every week"

A few months ago, I was at a local car meet in my SC and I had a guy come up to me and start talking all sorts of nonsense about my SC300. I guess he thought I was stupid because he told my car is definitely a four liter V8 and that there is no way I had a 2JZ. I wanted to punch this guy in the face ever since that day.

I also have the guys who are obsessed with drag racing tell me I should sell my car and get a REAL car like a Supra or a Dodge Neon.

However, the most ridiculous comment I got came from my mom. She's always offers me $2,000 cash for my SC with every mod on it. She asks me this every day.

I get tons of people not believing mine is a 92.

I always get asked how much power I make. I plan on doing a street tune when I go E85 so I don't know how much power it makes ha ha.

A lot of people not familiar with turbo think my bov is NOS. One guy at light was like yea I heard your NOS going off.........I chuckled lol.

The majority of people not familiar with the platform and the 2jz motor seems to always know more about it than me lol.

True Story-When I first got my SC, and was at the race track...

Me: It's a Lexus SC 300
Dumbguy1: What you got done to it?
Me: Nothing yet, it's all stock so I pop the hood.
Dumbguy1: Man, I knew it! you told me it was stock...that's a 2JZ right?
Me: Yep, it's a 2JZGE
Dumbguy1: Nice!!!. Dumbguy's buddy 1: Is it the Japanese version? My cousin has one, his is newer model. It's a 2007 I think. His was made in Germany too, that's what the GE stands for. Bet you didn't know that huh?

Wow, that last comment sent me over the couch in laughter.

I live in a town where as far as I can tell, I'm one of two SCs. The other guy lives right around the corner from me, and his is black (more grey with the paint fade and dirt) and we sometimes hit the same bar. This fine a** girl looked at me and said, "Oh look, you can be twins." His is a 92, mine is a '97, and red. Her dumba** boyfriend asked if I had put a bodykit on a Mustang- and I don't think he could claim intoxication as an excuse.

Grrr... Pet peeve of mine, guys. No matter what shape your car's in, take some pride in it's appearance. I just wanna clobber these high end BMWs and Audis that roll up to me with wheels turned black from brake dust and a coat of dust you could plant flowers with.

I've gotten all sorts of 'interesting' questions. I always get people who assume that I should have kept 2 turbos instead of going single. Most people don't know what kind of car it is (completely debadged) I kinda like this.
One of my favorite things to do at random meets (like Sonic) is don't aknowledge that the car belongs to me, when people ask whos it is I say I don't know. I've had the car swapped since 2003, so plenty of people know me and the car. My friends always help out by saying they saw on old lady driving it and she walked that way..

At Nopi in Miami last year someone walked up to my car and I guess saw it didn't have a 1/2jz in it and asked if I swapped a v8 in there. Not because he saw it was a 1uz under the hood but because he didn't know they also made an 8 cylinder version.

Also everywhere I go, whether it be a car show, the grocery store etc people always ask me "dude does that have a 2j" "that's got the supra motor in it right" "wheres the intercooler" or just any other variation of that.

So that prompted me to do this...
