Eletric Fans (is300 diy in process)
I am currently setting up an is300 electric fan conversion for my 2jzgte swap. First of all I would like to know if my wiring would be correct here
Next to find the actual thermo switch
-Some companies make a Probe that goes in between the radiator fins, I do not find this very effective because the temperature probe may fall out and will not have definite reading of the actual coolant.
Allot of stock cars with electric fans have the same kind of setup as the probe but you can build your own kit for under $40 hopefully
The thermo switch on the radiators tell the fans to turn on or off at a certain degree. The only problem is I am having is find a switch from an OEM car that will do this.
Some of the switches have one connector. This one connector will more or less be used as a ground circuit. The connector will go to a relay and it will pretty much ground and unground so your fans will turn on at a certain degree.

The second sets of switchs have two connectors.
This is the same switch as I have planned in the first diagram.
I am having trouble finding how to wire these two probe switches in. The schematics say that the probes are normally open between terminals.
*I am thinking that if it is this way my above wiring diagram is correct.
IF you know about wiring and can offer suggestion please post.
I do not want to hear: Go clutch fan because I do not want to go that way, I am aware that there is a clutch so please.

your plan sounds good. the only thing I see is needing a fuse between +12v and pin 30, and possibly pull the power for the thermo switch from non-switched power (most OEMs I know of the fan runs for a short time after the car shuts off).

Just depends on your radiator. I personally have a forged racing rad. And the the drain size is m14 x 1.5 and the actuall temp sensor location is line a m22 x 2.5 so since this wont work I need to find a sensor with the desired thread gauge.
