I sold my sc300 and was thinking about a sc400 with a manual swap , I bet the v8 would be nice matched with a manual trans.

Does any one have one here and are you happy with the performance?

How much better is it from the stock sc300 manual ?

RedPhoenix has one and from the videos he's put out it looks quite good.

There are several threads about this conversion. Since you're in Cali you may want to avoid doing it to an OBD2 or at least a VVT-i.

Performance-wise I don't think you can go wrong with a manual 400 unless you're looking for the horsepower a GTE swap will give you.

i'm about to get my transmission swapped i'll give you some feedback when i do so, also as to your question of if it would be more fun to drive... i would think so your gaining 50 ft lbs of tq thats what you'll feel.

You mean the manual transmission will put down more power to the wheels? The engine doesn't gain 50 ft lbs of tq from a tranny swap..
