Default coin fell into cigarette lighter

hey all. heres my situation. a penny fell into my cigarette lighter making my heat/cooling/defrost to stop working. i have been looking on line for solutions and everyone says i blew a fuse and just need to replace the fuse. i looked under the hood and the heating and cooling fuses look fine. there should be another fuse box located by the dead rest pedal on the driver side, so i heard. but i cannot find one. any ideas? thanks guys

There is a box next to the dead pedal, but you have to pull the carpet back to get to it. Check those, then go from there.

the fuse you want is down by the pedals, pull up carpet and use a flashlight and you'll see your blown fuses

yea u have to pull the carpet forward and its in there. also just because a fuse"looks" fine doesnt mean it is. take it out anywYs if u dont have a multimeter to check it and change it out. fuses are cheap as hell so its worth just changing it if ur not sure. just my experience.

note: the fuses have a black cover and is about 4 inches big... thats why ppl have trouble finding it... u have to pull the carpet and then find the black cover that has e fuses in it

I just blew that same fuse when I pluged in my phone charger.

Does the climate control light up but not display the information or allow you to change the settings?

If so, try checking the #10 fuse in the fuse box by your feet. If the little metal connection between the two metal pegs is burn out or broken its just a blown fuse. If it is the #10 fuse that should be a 15amp fuse. Theres might be a fuse puller and and extra fuse in the fuse box under the hood. good luck and I hope this saves you from checking every single fuse! =]
