Default wood trim on sc

i wonder if all sc comes with wood trim and if so is it fake wood grain trim

It's not fake wood, why do you think the center plastic vents crack.

^lol, it dosnt crack because of the wood.

it cracks because of the suddent change from hot tempertaure inside an SC during summer and when u turn on ur cold AC the plastic reacts to the sudden extreme change in temp from hot to cold, and visa versa.

Wood expands and contracts under heat/cold temperature. Hence the cracking of the plastic around the vents.

glad u went and did some research for yourself, but my reason stated is still the reason why the PLASTIC CRACKS.

I've seen the wood crack in SCs.

every vent will eventually crack, best bet is to stick with what you got or find something that wont crack and fab it up

Yes, they all come with this trim. It's basically metal, topped with a thin sheet of wood (it's honestly more like paper with wood print on it), and then a clear coat.

I've sanded down a piece before in hopes of staining the wood and was able to determine its true composition. It's deceiving because from the side it looks like there is a size-able piece of wood. But nope

exactly thats what i'm thinking dude. there is a very thing layer of it. and on the drive side ac vent its black instead of wood.
