i searched for a while but i cant find a headliner removal how to
anyone willing to walk me through steps? pics will be appreciated

U have to start with taking off the back seats. Then the rear interior panels, and just work your way up to the headliner. Once u get the rear seats out it's pretty self-explanatory..

there is absolutely a DIY in here for this ill try to find it later tonight unless someone knows where it is.

here is a quick list off the top of my head.

-remove rear seat
-remove rear lower panels, just pull these
-remove 5(?) screws on bottom of upper panel,
-there are 2 #3 phillips head screws under the holy s#!% handles MAKE SURE U USE THE RIGHT SIZE AS THEY CAN STRIP
-remove 14mm nut for seatbelts
-pull panel off
-there is a certain procedure for the holy s#!$ handles, a tab of some sort that needs to be lifted, remove 3 screws and remove a pilliars
-pry the plastic lens off the dom light and there are 3 screws in there

all i can remember for now maybe someone can finish, good luck

thanks nova ill give it a shot tonight, all the seats are out and funny u mentioned stripping the oh s#!+ handles.... alrdy did tht was before reading this haha but i drilled them out so its ok
ill update if i get any problems

Sweet i have been searching for days the pillar handles are my main problem there hard to take off

pillar handles actually came off pretty easy for me, push in the middle so it flattens out, then then slide one side off and the other side has a small clip type thing, take a flat head and sort of pop it

I'm doing mine now. All done except the pillars. On way to get more suede now. I finally got the front pillars (by windshield) off but I cannot for the LIFE of me get that weird front pillar clip/whatever back into the slot on the pillar to reattach. Any suggestions? It's driving me MADD

patrick, idk why it wont go back in for you, mine goes in out pretty easy (thats wht she said ) but thats weird, try going at angle

ok so i got everything off and i have one slight problem, the front of the headliner seems like its glued in to the top somewhere and doesnt wanna come down anyone got ideas? i could just pull on it but i dnt wanna risk having a flimsy hanging headliner, id rather leave it tan then mess it up

Doing these handles was the hardest part of the interior for me, they are in there ridiculously tight; I've already stripped one.

I remember reading about the horrors a lot of people had with the panic handles in front and in the rear so when I decided to tackle my interior I just used a impact driver and with one blow they broke loose with no stripping!. So may I suggest using one to all member's planning on doing this in the future, it will save your screw heads.

like i said before using the proper size #3 phillips screw driver and putting your weight into it while turning will save you from stripping the screws. or if u have money to spend the impact driver works wonders as well
