Lexus dealer service
Here's my experience with having my car serviced at Santa Monica Lexus.
The trunk struts on my 2000 SC stopped working. (They were replaced six months ago at Kearny Mesa Lexus in San Diego).
The dealer replaced the struts, topped up all the fluids, washed the car twice, filled each tire, adjusted the parking brake, checked and refilled the air conditioning fluid, checked all other systems, changed the battery on my remote and the service manager got on his knees and touched up the scratches on the bumpers and the rock chips on the hood. Total cost: $ 0.00. And this wasn't even the dealership that fixed the car originally.
I was amazed!! They got my business...

Dealer here charged me $120 for a "Coolant Flush" which they neglected to tell me before the service they have no flush machine, and that they just drained and refilled radiator. I made them at least go back there and do it all over again, and empty the block out as well.

Dont get me wrong im not trying to start anything , but this does seem like a lot of stuff for free. Makes me want to go and make the drive and see if they will do the same for me. If I had of known I would of went there yesterday I was at Dockweiler State Beach at my buddy's camp site for the whole day and into the late night. Doing some shots-shots- shots- shots- shots, and having a few Raspberry Shocktops.

Nope. True life experience. If this wasn't a warranty repair I'd never have gone but they treated me so well I'm going to go back.
I think this is a direct result of the problems Toyota has been having w/safety and quality control. They've taken control of the situation and are going overboard to please their customers.
It was great to see all the techs swarming over my car. They never get to see such a clean stock Blk/Blk, lo mile classic.
My indie Lexus mechanic as good as he is, can't touch this level of service at any price... I'm lucky if I get out of there w/o oil stains on my pants...
