there was a long thread about this about a month ago. we got a price quote and it ended up being more like 300 bucks for the plush. not worth it at all however i found out that an american company called keyston brothers may do carpet molds. and they have a very nice match for oem. i have seen it in person. as far as cost and everything i have not gone that far yet. but they have many warehouses nation wide. and are the biggest supplier of auto upholstery.

yeah keyston bros rocks! i have spent some change there lately on vinyl. their spray adhesive is the best too. will never go back to super 77 glue. they have some nice black plush carpet with short pile which is just like the oem. or they have a taller pile as well for a softer thicker feel. i got so many projects to do but i will for sure buy my carpet from them. i think they source out the carpet molding and send the carpet to whoever who makes the mold. but i would like to learn to do it myself.

You would be amazed at how well the Lexus OEM carpet cleans up. It holds up very well if there are no wear spots or rips.
On three occasions on three different Lexus cars I've owned, I pulled the carpet OUT of the car and had them steam/hot water extracted by a local carpet cleaner. In every occasion, the carpets came out damn near brand new after the steam/hot water extraction.
So rip out your carpet, call your local carpet/upholstery cleaner and have them come out. You'll be amazed, even with beige interior.

In case anyone is wondering, I dropped the near $350 dollar coin and bought a complete set in black. Tired of paying half that price for a worn 20 year old carpet. I'll post up impressions. Should be favorable since my 92 tan carpet is in VERY rough shape after all this time.
