I take it the lower heat worked?

When I first read the DIY on this forum and it said something along the lines of 350 degrees for 3 minutes I almost spit out a mouthful of water, that seems a bit extreme for me.

I've done this several times (never on an SC though) and we always used the ovens lowest setting for about 5-7 minutes, with the lens on a wet rag. Seems to heat up the sealant more evenly.

Looks good though all cleaned up!

I had the oven temp at 250, but I know that y oven operates at lower temps from what I have experienced cooking a turkey for more hours than normal. I did see another thread recommending 350.

Good advise on the wet rag. I was worried about the metal touching the plastic, so I did put it on top of damp cardboard.

I took the easy way out and have been enjoying condensation-free headlamps for the better part of a month now. I recommend doing this after you reseal to stop it from coming back...

That's the thread I was referring to. I had to open it up because the condensation was not going away. Now that it is clean inside, I am going to double up on it by doing this fix.

Thank you.
