Yea definitely, and compound that with a stiffer sidewall and you can break even on or lose traction. I moved up 10mm on width with a stickier (and stiffer) set of tires, but also reduced my aspect ratio 5% and they spin about the same as they did before in a straight line. The handling difference is tremendous though.

stay within a 38 to 50 offset so you dont have to roll your fender, to low offset messed with the camber of the car, your tire will eat down on the in side

im about to run a 19 x 8.5 +15 up front and a 19 x 10 +20 in the rear. Rear tire size will be a 275/30/19 but afraid I will need to roll and possibly pull but I am hoping that I am wrong. I was looking at possibly getting a 265/35/19 for a lil taller sidewall.

lol^^^^^i need to learn how to post these funny video clips-----many times this one would of came in handy

fuzion I really like your wheels, im a big fan of chrome there are some here that arent.

Im not the authority here on tire fitment but but I think the fit is going to look really good when the rubbers are on., quite an agressive look --I like it.

Hopefully you can post pics when the rubbers are on.

i dont like chrome either but when i bought them, i was told they werent chrome there were polished. But thats over and done with now....i just want them on so i can see how they will flow with the car....if its some thing i dont like...for sale they go...

He did tell me that i needed spacers with the TT brakes so i took a chance hoping that the LS brakes would clear. Didnt work out in my favor Im gonna try a 3mm spacer and see if that helps, just gonna purchase the 3mm and 5mm.

OUCH! Ah yeah I've had that happen with wheels before- just thought you were going to the hella-flush-darkside . Okay this is going to sound nuts... but a lot of MKIV guys have run into this because of how damn meaty the TT brakes are. And there's so much material there that doesn't have to be. Brembo and willwood calipers fit wheels with no issue that hit the TT brakes. I'm surprised you're having an issue with those wheels actually!

You have two options- a very small hub centric spacer. OR depending on where it hits, grind your caliper.... I told you it was going to sound nuts haha. But I ground down the face of my calipers about 2 years ago and have had zero issues since. I only shaved about 2mms, then painted the caliper.

you think a 3mm spacer up front would throw the fitments off too much and make the front wider than the rear? I have the ls400 calipers and i dont know how much material is there to grind off...ya know. Ill def give that grinding some thought because i need to paint my calipers anyway...
