Lotus Elise. Mid engine.

As for this mod I like it! I want this with some steel reinforcements in the middle area as mine scratches everywhere.
BTW, there´s no high speed lift issues on this.

How long has it been in place? Has the owner driven it on a road like Highway 1 while shifting constantly? Heat is a trans worst enemy, It's going to run hotter if you enclose it, no matter if you put a vent somewhere, it's still going to be hotter than having air rushing under it, and it wasn't designed to be enclosed. To each his own, and the fab work is top notch, I just don't think it's smart in the long run. Time will tell.

I think a combination on vents and/or open areas (around such trouble spots like the tranny), and front/rear diffusers, this thing would be bad ***..

He didn't say how long its been since he had it on the car, but i'm sure if this application was trouble free (heat issues if any) he would be selling it as a kit. So far he says there's no future plans for a kit.

Transmission and Engine produce lots of heat. Trans and Engine oil pans are the lowest point of the engine / trans and would be very close to the ground. That lotus has active vents in the side, and if you look, underneith that pull air up and vent it through the vent on the top of the engine....

Doesn't seem to have much of a difference - those side vents feed the motor, there's no additional body vents over an SC. I know this has been done on a supra with good results and I've also seen it done on a 240sx. That being said, a vented hood and vented front fenders would be a good idea here

I just want a skid plate now from being too low. I wonder how well this plastic shield holds up to scrapes.....didn't think about that now?
