What is wrong with your current engine?

There is nothing wrong with TT 1j. Be happy with what you've got dude.

If you want. Install a new turbo kit on it. Run higher boost. And replace the ecu capacitors... It will run like a brand new car if you do.

But for god sake why do an engine conversion...

If you must, do a 1j vvti... Personally I see nothing with the tt

Get a single turbo kit and a good tune, and if thats not good enough, 1.5jz.

or k20 swap ?

1.5j into TT soarer is pain in the backside cos mounts are for 1j not 2j

So basically 1.5j is easy when car is made to have a 2j bottom end...

I would personally recommend the vvti 1j

But even that is a difficult swap afaik

Why would you go rb26dett??

Like why go to soooo much ridiculous effort to custom fit in a foreign manufacturers engine to go from a parallel TT 2.5ltr to a parallel TT 2.6ltr?

Makes no sense to me

If you were starting with a 2jz-ge, the 2jz-gte would definitely be the better of the two options. But if you already have a 1jz, no sense ripping it out as there's still plenty of power on tap. Single your 1j, go with like a 6262 BB with billet wheel for spool. You'll love it.

^^^rooks rike dat. You rike it?

Imagine that size twin turbos on a 1j...

Stick THAT in your thread and read it.

And lookEVO - don't joke.. Someone has done a 26 into a soarer man..

In fact smokey nagata put an rb26dett into a supra...

Most unique swap I seen into a z30 soarer is the 20b quad rotor twin turbo... By those crazy loveable idiots at carshop eau rouge...

Just give your 1JZ a refresh, new seals etc. larger single turbo and the rest of it.
