Applying wax by hand shouldn't be that difficult. You are probably putting it on too thick which makes it both harder to apply and buff out once it hazes. The key to any wax is to apply the thinnest coat possible.

Get a PC7424 if you really want to avoid hand application. Plus you can use the PC to buff your car too.

Yep! That's another option. The Meg's NXT spray wax is extremely easy to apply. I got a large shipment of them for maintenance work in between proper details. The only problem with the spray wax is it only lasts several weeks if you're lucky. If you want a solid wax, try Collinite 476. I put that stuff on my daily driver ES back in early October of last year, haven't touched the car at all this winter, and even after the horrific Chicago winter with the road salt, this stuff still beads like a champ. I hand washed the car last week and the beading blew me away because usually no wax withstands the abuse of road salt. The 476 will last you over 6 months with only one coat with ease.

i literally just finished buffing my car . I had to wetsand the nasty gold pinstripe that was painted on. I used 2000 grit sandpaper to sand it off..then I washed the whole car and clayed it.

Step 1: used a yellow cutting pad and 3m compound to remove the sanding marks. Also did a once over of the whole car with the same stuff.

Step 2: used an orange polish pad with Menzerna Intensive Polish to pickup most of the swirls left by the compound

Step 3. Green paid with Menzerna Final Polish

Step 4: White pad with Menzerna Finishing Glaze

Step 5. Gray pad with Menzerna FMJ Sealant

Step 6. Top it with Meguiars NXT hand wax. I have yet to do this step. I started at 11am and just finished. Its dark and ill just apply the wax tomorrow.

My back hurts like hell and Im starving lol. Im pretty happy with the results but there is only so much you can do on 14yr old paint with oxidized bird poop

my car is susposed to be royal jade pearl. im guessing that between the PO and me the semi 2nd owner ( i bought it from a guy who deals honda's he had just bought the car and maybe had it a month) it got painted with chrysler DX6 black paint year is 1950 and it has a few over lap spots and runs on it.

it's almost pointless washing it cause they put way to much sand/salt down over the winter. wash it and it's already dirty

Be careful buffing a repainted car. If the repaint was cheap without proper prep-work, you could very easily strip the paint off even with the a weak polisher like the PC.

dont use that black box ******. its freakin crap. i used it on my is350 when i first got it and its a really gummy products. you have to constantly keep changing the applying pads and youll be able to see all the defects on you car (swirls and light scratches) like 2 days after you use the products.

I wax every other time I wash my car. Usually with a liquid wax, but I have used the solid turtle wax.

I have been meaning to pick up a clay bar, but I'm scared to take a buffer to it. I've heard red, especially pearl, is one of the tricky colors (Black is the hardest) and I flat out refuse to pay 150-300$ to get the car wash to clay/buffer it.
