Stub antenna, poor reception
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on this.
I replaced my stock antenna with a stub antenna from locustom. Install went fine, I found and connected the right wire to the antenna to provide power, and I get good reception most of the time - except when I drive by a radio tower or local TV station, which I do every day on my way to work.
The competing signals basically drown out the station I'm listening to and either replaces it with static or a very poor broadcast of whatever signal those antennas are transmitting. This didn't happen with the stock antenna, and I've never had it happen with any car I've had, and I've driven the same route for 15 years. So - either the antenna sucks or I missed something on the install.
Has anyone else had this issue, and any tips on how to fix it?
