Im new here and im am looking to build or get a 1jz sc300 for a fun daily or drift queen, but I was wondering what are some common problems on the sc300 to look out for?

Also how is the cost maintenance wise? I was about to ask about aftermarket parts then i remember almost everything is interchangable with supra parts

I did search but theres just so much information, would be nice to just have cliff notes lol.

Test drive it obv. Get it up to about 100mph check the power and see how the brakes work. If there is any pulsation. Have him drop the price 500 and get new brakes. Check the trunk pan for rust...under the spare tire. Check all the ball joints and the suspension. Make sure power seats, ac/heat work. Also check the Trunk lifting struts. Check when the timing belt was changed (around every 90k). Other than that just normal test drive stuff...How much is the price and what year? any pics

After the test drive, leave the car running on idle with the AC on for a good amount of time. Check underneath the oil cap for some white mess to indicate HG issue.
