doing a 1jz swap on my sc300 question
the motor im going to buy is a front sump 1jz. The guy said its out of a supra but its probably a chaser. Is there any major difference from the soarer 1jz and the non soarer 1jz engines? excpet for the front sump? also i already have the soarer wiring harness extended already so i dunno how that would hook up to it? is it plug and play?

so you have a harness from a soarer? the soarer harness is plug and play if you have 92-94. what year is your sc? if your 95+ then youll have to swap some pins around
the ecu could be different, some 1jz ecus only have 2rows of pins. the soarer ecu will have 4rows
The engine should be fine though, just find yourself a rear sump

my harness was done by c&n performance in fl. But i might just get a soarer ecu and i will be good for sure. Now i just need to get the actual engine in and old engine out lol and i dont want to pay no shop 1500 for a straight forward 1jz swap
