Whats the easiest way to drop in a motor-JZ??
Im was dropping in my 1.5JZ in today and got stuck, thing was kicking my *** so I called it a day.
Its a 1JZ with a 97 GE block. Is the 97 GE block the same as the 92? How bout the engine brackets? I have the back of the engine touching against the firewall and the motor mounts are off 3/4 of a foot. I know right? Thats a lot of space. The motor mounts were 3/4 in front of the mounting holes.
I was questioning that the brackets are off. I cant remember if Im using the GTE or GE brackets. But I know there on the right sides. Would it matter which brackets Im using?

get it in the car as far as possible without it sitting on the crossmember, level it as much as you can with the leveler, then place a jack under the tail of the trans and jack it up to where it almost touches the trans tunnel, then give it a good shove.
Dont get discouraged, it took me over an hour to get my LS1 to sit on my mounts the right way, and I had the same issue with being less than 1'' away, but the jack made all the difference.

QFT..
you may have the wrong MMBs.. What motor mounts are you using? If you are using the longer mounter mount brackets and the longer motor mounts, this will cause your motor to sit unevenly.. I know, because Ive experienced it. One you get the shorter motor mount brackets or shorter motor mounts, you will be golden..
Just be careful you didnt puncture a hole in the rear heater hose in the motors current position.
