Default New owner of 92 SC400, have questions

I just picked up a 92 SC400 its in real good shape but has alot of small problems.

One problem im having is the trunk lid doesnt stay up, What holds it up is there a strut or a spring? and how do I get to it to replace.

The Drivers seat cover is ripped, are there any quality replacement leather seat covers or should I look for a used replacement seat. What brands should I stay away from.

It also has heated seats but they either do not work or work poorly, I have not determined which yet im leaning torwards the latter. but is there anything I can do to amp up the heater?

I might have more questions in the future but any help is appriciated.

Well on my car, a 1x2. But you can easliy replace the shocks.

The Drivers seat cover is ripped, are there any quality replacement leather seat covers or should I look for a used replacement seat. What brands should I stay away from.It won't cost that much to get it reupholstered, I had the entire interior of one of my cars redone in leather,(Carpet, Seats, Plastics Dyed, Headliner, etc) for 1200$. One or two seats, can't be that much.

It also has heated seats but they either do not work or work poorly, I have not determined which yet im leaning torwards the latter. but is there anything I can do to amp up the heater? Look this would solve your heating and leather issues. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...ted-seats.html. Find a set of heated seats for sale, with good condition leather. 2 Birds with 1 Stone.

I might have more questions in the future but any help is appriciated.
REUPHOLSTER!!:

Check out leatherseats.com. Whole set around 600 or so. You can pick which stitching and such. They holdup pretty well or use SEM paint and some leather repair. That depends on how your bad your rip is.

I just replaced my trunk struts, $27 shipped on amazon. look for the strongarm 4508's (at least for my 95). Took about 10 minutes after removing the trunk lining pieces. Works great! no more stick propping up the lid!!

(these are for cars with spoiler)

looks like they are not free ship now, but still a good price. you can also check on ebay.

i got the iggee seat covers off ebay. think it was around 380.00 for the fronts and back seats. might not be as nice as the ones from leatherseats.com but it was a couple of hundred dollars cheaper and i am very happy with them, made my interior look brand new. i gotta do my trunk struts, got bashed in the head yesterday when my stick fell over lol

Thanks guys, Im slowly getting things worked out on this thing. Replaced the struts on the trunk lid, much better now, no more ghetto 2x4 in the trunk. I got the rear bumper and spoiler repainted because of fading, now hoping to get the front bumper repainted because of peeling clear and rock chips.
Still looking at the seat covers, $600 for leatherseats.com and they are about an hour drive for me. But thats half as much as I paid for the car. They better be good quality. Also what about the arm rests and console cover and steering wheel?
