My stepdad sent me this email this morning, because I am a fireman. Anyway, you know you drive an SC if you spotted the SC before you spotted the 5" fire hose going through the BMW. I thought it was funny, so I wanted to share.

WIKI:
The E30 was sold from 1982 through 1991 in saloon form, through 1993 in convertible form.
...
In the end of 1987, BMW introduced the touring version of the E30. It was very popular during its production up to 1994.
...
I used to have an 87 325IS. It was a fun little car, clean and simple by today's standards, but I'd have preferred the E36 over it.

Close. The E30's ran up to '94

Oh right, I forgot about the convertibles.
VW did this as well with the Golf.
FWIW, I apprenticed at BMW before heading over to Mercedes... the only Bimmer worth its salt in terms of quality is the 318i E36.

My buddy had one, but it was a 318i, which was a four cylinder, he beat the hell out of it. Never broke down and still would run 140. Bimmers have always been reliable to me.

I work on BMW's for a living and I hate the E36. So old feeling and looking for the years they were made. E46 is a much better car if well maintained and sooo easy to work on. I'm not a BMW fan at all though... Lexus ftw! Haha
