easiest way to find out what tires will be "square" with the rim, is simple math. The first set of numbers (i.e.-195, 205, 215, etc..) are measurements in MM. So take the width of your rim, for example ^^^9.5'' = 241.29999999999998 mm. So in this case a 245 SHOULD have a flush sidewall, BUT that is also where the second set of numbers on the tire comes in to play. The aspect ratio of the tire will manipulate the shape of the sidewall. Too tall, it will look like a balloon, to short, it will look stretched. To get the aspect ratio divide the second number into the first number.

a 9.5J rim is actually 10.5" wide. some tire manufacturers list how wide the actual tires are on their websites. a 245 tire isnt always exactly 245mm wide. usually, if you go up 2 sizes than normal, the tire will be square with the rim if thats what youre going for.
