Default Sc400 Steering Wheel

I have recently bought a 92 sc400. I believe it has the LS400 steering wheel though. The airbag light is on. The fog lights only work when I use the directional, and the cruise control doesnt work. Will all this go away if i swap back to an original sc400 steering wheel? Or will the cruise control atleast work?!? Please help!

no that is an scxxx steering wheel they didnt change to 3 spoke till 98 and as for your "fog" lights they arent really fogs they are blinkers to turn. fogs are in 95+ scs welcome to the forums.

okay, so when I press the buttons on the wheel(like function, mode and what not) it turns on the cruise control and if I press one of the buttons again it turns them off. The cruise control stick doesnt work when I try to use it though. How do I get 95 fog lights to fit?

You'd be better off doing the DIY making your current "cornering lights" into fog lights.

Maybe you're not sure how to use the cruise control? Turn it on, then set, then let go of gas, otherwise it sounds like the main cruise module is stuck. 95 foglights dont fit on 92-94 bumpers, just follow the write up.

PM a member on here named SChema about the cornering lights. He did mine for me and he should be able to point you in the right direction.

As for the cruise control, I've never used it before. I don't even know how to use it to be honest.

Why would you want cruise control? This car is insanely fun to drive!

LMFAO! Another '92-'94 owner who thinks that their SC is equipped with foglights

But yeah, There's a DIY write up around here to help turn your cornering lights into "faux" foglights...just search, you'll find it.

why wouldnt I think there were foglights? There are big lights underneath the headlights that look identical to them. Sorry I havnt spent countless hours researching every aspect of the car as I have a thing called a life and job.

No, they're not totally identical, Look closely at your bumper and look at one from an actual '95-'96 model and you'll see that they're very much different...very subtle but different nonetheless. The differences are that the foglights on the '95-'96 bumpers have a line going across 'em and are actual functioning foglights which can be switched on and off at will (via foglight switch [See enclosed pic]) and are also slightly shaped differently than the cornering lights on the '92-'94 bumpers, another un-noticeable and subtle difference is the lower front fascia (Underneath the front license plate)...On your front bumper, you may notice a large line going across it...On the '95-'96 bumper, it's just a black plastic lower grill....Oh! And all '95+ year models have glass high beams too FYI.

Here are some pics of a '95-'96 bumper for reference if you do not believe me...

And if you still insist that your SC was equipped with foglights, Then let us know if you find this foglight switch on your instrument wand...
