Smile Leather/Vinyl dye for Lexus - see link!

Hey guys,

I found a place that has leather/vinyl dye specifically made to match our cars. The only problem is I do not know how to get the exact color on the chart.

Can someone look up the EXACT color code/name that will match up to what is on the chart in the below link - please?

I am specifically interested in the color of the steering wheel airbag on my 93 SC400. If you have the other interior part colors for our cars I'm sure other would be interested as well.

If someone gets me the color, I will write up a review and everyone can benefit.

I used this stuff..

Matches....okay...not great....but hey who is perfect.

The repair kit includes a plastic like paste that replicates the flexibility of vinyl. Tough to get smooth if you have a big tear or other issue like the SC's notorious window frame.

The color flex is the actual product you need to redo your airbag. I would suggest the aerosol sprayer with that. It does a decent job but nothing will get it back to factory.

Best of Luck.

Your color code is in the door sticker. Mine was 06 for a 92 sc300 tan interior. The site tells you how to get your number.

Hey MW,

Thanks for the reply man. I looked and looked on their site and did not find instructions. I also could not find the color in the shop manuals. Was the 06 color the darker brown or the lighter tan color? Any directions on getting color would be great - I really tried.

I agree spray and color flex is the best idea.

Many Thanks,
Ryan

Lighter tan... is 06

The steering wheel and upper interior trim are much darker.

I would say it is the #09 Brown if I had to pick, the #13 seems way too dark. If you email the guy I am sure he will match it up for you. You may be able to even send them a picture of the color. Who knows...
