This is definitely true if you can find some USDM twins and fuel to support them.
i'll love to have that kind of power but man mn isnt a place where you could have fun with it thats how i see.. lol but if i were to find a usdm twins i think that would satisfied me aha

I would go with the 2JZ-GTE with an R154. If that's not an option, a 1JZ with an R154 should be fine.

With that being said, your best bet is to first select the R154 transmission and then figure what you can afford, 1JZ or 2JZ. That simple. Both motors can get you into W58 implosion territory.
i know thats why im posting this thread aha im just at the budget where i could get those thats why im not sure.. but i really want a 2jzgte but i cant seem to find anything helpful for me to help on the swap unlike 1jz aha unless ya know some sit that could help me?? aha

Read people, he gave you guys options to pick, what's with all the 2jzgte and r154, why not just say 2jzgte with getrag? He did say money was an issue like 3 times.

Get the 2jzgte with w58, it's a lot easier to change transmission than to find out you probably would like a different engine more, specially once you put a fair bit of money into it. Also, if your power goal is only 300-400, w58 will hold, I've seen W58 hold 450 no problem, it all depends on how you drive and what you use it for, if you daily cruise, w58 is enough, if you track it, get a r154 later on when you need it.

By the way, if you destroy your w58, it's only a few hundred to replace, no big deal.

If you are happy with 300hp, a BPU 1jz or NA-T will easily get you there. Just get a 1jz/R154 swap and you are done.

Of course at 300whp, a W58 will get the job done too. I would guess my Aristo swap is making over 300whp right now and the W58 has not blown up yet. Of course I expect it to any day now

There are lots of ways to skin a 300hp cat, and pretty much any transmission combo available for our cars will hold that amount of power easily.
