question for those who have custom headliner
hello ive done some searching and havent come up with the answers im looking for. i want to do a custom headliner/visors/sunroof slide, ive found enough on the headliner itself but has neone dealt with the sunroof slide and the sun visors? DIY help would be appreciated.

i have a spare interior at my disposal and a sister who is quite handy with fabric. i was thinking somewhere along the lines of using the material i want, sewing it inside out much like socks or jeans are made then revering over the visors the same way you would upholster a seat.

Couple of things
Be careful pulling down the headliner to ensure you don't detach the Velcro-style connectors holding the middle and sunroof area to the roof. Use a long screwdriver to separate them.
You must pull down the entire sunroof assembly to get access to the slide panel. It is fairly straightforward to extract.

@shern: 2 things when you say use a long screw driver to get to the velcro do you meant long enough to come in from the outside of the headliner (the door way area) or just long enough to slide in from the sunroof area (say 6inch under the headliner)
secondly why would you recommend bringing the visors to an upholstery shop? what r the problems i would encounter while trying to recover them?

The visors need to be stitched to ensure a proper wrap because the visors have four sides. Think of it like a pillow case.
