Default How to remove scratches from tail lights

I came across a decent set of 97 tail lights but they have some scratches. i no how to do the whole wet sand method for the headlights. The only problem is the lens on the 97 tails are clear so the reflector isnt right behind the lens so i dont want to sand it and see any hair line scratches when im done. Any recommendations on what grid sand paper to use.

2000 grit and you should be fine. I wouldnt go any further down past 1500 on those plastic outer covers. I just did mine and they look beautiful.
