Finished pulling the motor and transmission, separated the harness to get everything ready to clean up.

Had the A/C recharged for the spring/summer season. The r12 to r134 conversion still has challenges so an annual recharge is in play.... Nice and cool for now....

The OEM Lexus battery (w\ 84 mo. Warranty) started to have some acid licking around the cover. The previous owner bought the battery last 2012 with a dealer. I went to another dealer and they cross honor the warranty. The dealer gave me a prorated rate for the replacement (~50% off). I installed it yesterday.

New rear speakers. That fixed the loud fuel pump and morning wheel whine, lol!

I don't have pic of this but I did the upper, lower control arms with prothane bushings, also did the strut rod bushing and traction rod bushing.
I also cleaned up my headlights as much as my arm would allow LoL.

comparison of the old and kind of good

That meguiars ball resto kit works great on headlights. It waxes them at the same time.

Replaced all 4 struts/shocks with Tokico HP. I really really wanted to do some Supra Koni and GF210, but that would have been about $500 more than what I spent on just replacement struts. And that 500 was put towards tires and and an alignment. Also replaced the transmission mount and center support bearing. This should bring my poor neglected car back up to good mechanical condition. The previous owners didn't care to maintain this car at all.

The left front strut was pretty bad as it had no rebound damping for about half of the stroke. The other 3 were probably still tired and wore out, but nothing like the left front.

Next, I will be focusing on the interior cosmetics. Seat covers, gauge needles, alternator whine in the radio, and pressure wash the carpet when it warms up a bit.

Finally got my exhaust done. Had resonator delete and mid cat delete with Flowmaster 44s but now I got 2.5 piping from cat backs with H-pipe to the Flowmasters and man does it sound like a beast!
