Started peeling off the old barney tint. The 4 side windows took 10 minutes to take off, and the rear has taken us hours to get half way done with it. Maybe get the new tint on next weekend. Still having starting problems but won't talk about it here. Only question I have is can the dealership diagnose problems in the ignition? We did the ignition bypass trick that oldmantan used to start his car and it starts right up so the issue isn't the starter itself. Could be a wire somewhere in the middle though.

Yay!
Got some great news today - my ECU is stuffed, but fixable.
I have been having a bunch of "ecu is the cause" issues (weird gearchanges, open injectors etc.) with my baby that went from intermittent to terminal 8 weeks ago.
Sent my ecu away to a guy in Katikati who found nothing wrong with it. I was in doubt, so went for a 2nd opinion.
Car Computers NZ came back to me with "There's been alot of work done to the ecu (pre-my purchase of the car) and nothing appears to be wrong, but I have my doubts. I have a friend with a '92 1UZ, do you mind if I wait for him to bring his car in and try your ecu in it?"
I said yes of course, and it took a few weeks, but did exactly the same crap in another car.
500 dollars later, my ecu should arrive by courier today
Can't wait for my lawn ornament of 2 months to return to being my daily driver Next stop : w58 conversion
Oopsy though - my ecu cylinder washed someone else's baby1
p.s. Big thanks to Clublexus for the invaluable threads on the issues I was experiencing.

Combining the past three days of activity:
1) Bought remanufactured (A1 Cardone 19-1908, 19-1909 / Duralast C9294, C9295) LS400 front brake calipers, Centric 121.44107 rotors, and Wagner QC665 pads. The rotors arrive Thu and the calipers Fri, but the pads haven't shipped yet. I should probably paint the calipers while waiting.
2) Finished up the exhaust work, removing the three resonators and replacing them with a 2.5" center pipe to improved downstream y-pipe to dual 2.25" pipes back to the mufflers.
3) Bought Supra rear sway bar (with subframe mounts, endlinks, and bushings) and front LCAs.
My credit card statement won't be thanking me next month, but the car only gets to celebrate my birthday once a year.

I ordered 2 new trunk support shocks that are intended for the trunks with factory spoilers. I will be adding a trunk spoiler on car and and my car did not originally come with the spoiler.
I noticed that the current shocks are already starting to close since I added the dynomat on there and I am sure they won't hold when I add the spoiler on the trunk.
