Damn, I might have to try that Gunk engine shine. My bay already looks like the after of yours but not coated in that shiny stuff like yours, I dig!

All I did was put the timing belt and hyradulic tensioner on my 1JZ sitting in the garage waiting for spring

Ya man the gunk stuff is great, a nice citrus smell aswell. itl completely restore any wiring and hoses and lines. I don't use it to often as I'm satisfied with just degreasing , just once every now and then I shine it up lol. I went extreamly heavy with it, just to get rid of the whole can. Not recommended lol, best is to apply it with a sponge or rag, I didn't care I went to town with it

Ugh ! Everything was going good til I got to the stupid leds...

Wanting to modernize my lighting a bit I decided, let's do LED lights everywhere. So I bought a LED kit eBay, specific for the sc. Described and sold as bright white LED kit.

What I got? Pure bs, out of 8 less only 1 was exceptional. The other 7 were low lighting. Bluish Almost purplish leds.

As you can see. One is decent, nice white bright LED. The others are no were close. And that's for all other leds the kit came with. Doors, License plate (yet to install) , trunk. All extreamly dull off colored.

Same goes with some LED reverse light I bought. Not very bright and not very white

So I'm back to buying single leds one at a time til I find the correct matching ones

Have you considered relocating it to the trunk? I'll likely do that at some point for better weight distribution, but it's kind of important to switch over to a sealed battery (i.e., Optima) first. You've got that out of the way now.

I got my SC running for the first time in three months. Those three months, by the way, was how long it took Lextec to finish my ECU. Any how, did plugs and wires, plus the distributor O-Ring while the ECU was out. She's idling low until she warms up, but she's running lol

Just put some trunk shocks in, heating up the bolt with a hairdryer is a must if you wana get them off. Mine had blue locktight on it, but I remember my 92 had red loctite.

Had loads of trouble installing the driver side for some reason, I damaged the driver side a little but its in there. I spent way more time than I should off, but it's all done and now my trunk stays open

I spent all afternoon daydreaming about finishing my SC if that counts.

I haven't seen the car in two months and I have all of these new parts to put on it. It's been sitting dead in my garage at our other house since November. I'm hoping to get it pushed out of the garage this weekend so I jump it and drive it around for a few days. Hopefully my mechanic will have time to pull my fenders so I can put my new wheels on.

That looks really good! What paint did you use and how did you get it to come out so good?

My friend did that to his tires and it looked like pure crap.

Having finally finalized my wheel/tire setup last week, I took it in for an alignment today. I had a fairly worn set of tires on that I was running down until swapping a much better set over, but had to expedite the process last month on the fronts when I had a near-death experience hydroplaning like a mad man in heavy rain and standing water on the highway. I've never had a problem controlling hydroplaning before, but this was crazy unpredictable.

Anyway, I expected minimal before & after changes with the alignment, since it pulled straight already, figuring the main thing they'd accomplish is getting the half spline off-center steering wheel corrected. Boy was I wrong. The previous owner must have done some back alley hack job to correct one out of adjustment setting with another out of adjustment setting.

Before:

Left Front: -0.3° Camber, 1.4° Caster, -0.36" Toe
Right Front: -0.1° Camber, 2.6° Caster, -0.32" Toe ... -0.68" total toe
Left Rear: -1.7° Camber, 0.02" Toe
Right Rear: -1.3° Camber, 0.12" Toe ... 0.14" total toe

After:

Left Front: -0.1° Camber, 2.3° Caster, -0.01" Toe
Right Front: -0.0° Camber, 2.8° Caster, 0.01" Toe ... 0.00" total toe
Left Rear: -0.9° Camber, 0.16" Toe
Right Rear: -1.3° Camber, 0.11" Toe ... 0.27" total toe

They want me to come back in a month so and get it dialed in a bit better, once everything has settled and things have loosened up a bit from the penetrating stuff they sprayed on, with the Rear Toe's slight discrepancy being the main thing that put up a fight. Firestone's Lifetime free alignment can't be beat -- use it twice and it's already paid for itself!
