I have also replaced the distributor o-ring and also new valve cover gaskets and intake manifold gaskets. Also decided while I had the valve cover off to give them a coat of VHT Very High Temp Cermanic coating on them. Waiting on new cap, rotor, plug wires and spark plugs to get in before I reassemble it...In the meantime I have been degreasing the block.

Well considering I just got my 99 sc300, i lubed the slow moving passenger Window, polished the headlights, and organized the trunk. What an awesome car. I thought i wouldn't like it coming from a light, nimble and exciting Rsx-S, but this car is amazing. Handles pretty Damn good too

Yesterday I installed TT rear brakes with new non-slotted rotors and factory TT pads. Trimming my dust shields was fun. The braking system IS more coordinated with TT calipers front and rear. This is on an NA manual car.

thanks for the information, its better to do the complete upgrade, not only the front calipers

Boergy, I think it should be mandatory that LS400 or TT calipers go on the front. This is just a safe thing to do. I drove for two years without modifying the rear calipers and it was fine but there seemed to be a slight bit of extra play in the pedal. Now that I've changed to TT rear brakes as well I can confirm to you that, yes, it's better to do the complete upgrade. It isn't 100% necessary but is it better to do front and rear? Yes, definitely.

Note, however, that your SC400 has larger rear brakes than my '93 SC300 did before my swap.

Edit: And this is with the SC300 master cylinder and brake booster. You do not need the TT versions unless you want to tackle a conversion to the Supra TT"Sports ABS" system. Which is a headache to do I think.
