Yeah, it could be worse... Be glad it was a front wheel and not a back one! I had three studs with stripped threads, two in front and one in the back. The fronts were relatively easy to replace, but the back is still waiting to go to a shop that has the necessary press to get the hub off the bearing in order to be able to slide the old stud out and the new one in. I just hope they don't destroy the bearing in the process.

I did something really stupid today. I've jacked my car up an uncountable amount of times, and for whatever reason I just didn't pay complete attention to it today. I pushed the jack too far under, jacked up the car, then realized I put a hole in the passenger side floor. Really disappointed in myself. Luckily my brother's a welder and we put it back together nicely. Still, a silly *** error that could have easily been prevented. If I didn't have a brother who welds it could of been costly.

No after pic, but we seam sealed after the weld, and hit it with fresh rubberized under coat. All I wanted to do was check my caliper out.....dont rush!

That's one hell of a head unit, your wife is good at picking gifts.

Default Suspension Work

Installed new shocks/struts on the front end. Also, new sway bar bushings and links. Everything else seems in good condition, and I will start on the rear after the next pay day. I changed the struts easily by removing the upper control arm and swinging it out of the way. Easy cheesy. But during the test drive, the anti-lock brake light came on. upon inspection, I did not tighten down the magnetic sensor, I only had the bolt in hand tight. I'm an old guy, what can I say. I still removed the sensor and cord and checked for continuity, and all is OK. No ABS light. I can blame it on my wife, as she comes out into the shop every five minutes and wants my undivided attention for some issue she can figure out herself. I'll bet nobody else's wife does that.

I swapped my trunks out. Winter mode, no GT wing. I finally stopped being lazy.

Iron X on the body and some severely pitted wheels. It works as advertised with some elbow grease. My wheels are pitted something fierce too. Should have taken some before and afters

Is that a midwest (rust belt) thing? I had to look it up to see what it is, and all the talk is of black iron deposits all over peoples' cars and wheels. I've seen a spec or two here and there over the years, which I always assumed is road tar splatter, but never anything that can't be picked off with a fingernail with a few seconds of effort. Only thing I can figure is it's a regional issue.

^ that's going in your '00 400 right? You should make a detailed thread about the install, I'm especially curious about all the wiring routes you take to get rid of all the CEL's.
