Dude, I applaud you having the ***** to try something different!
It's hard to really tell how it would look after it's complete with the wheels
not mounted. As of now, of course it looks dull looking. Mount the wheels and
put it together and post up pics and I'm sure the responses will be different.

IMO it will look great once the wheels are on it. This is the finished product after wet sanding and buffing? Still does look a little dull... But dont automatically come to conclusions before the end result. Keep us updated, dont give up!!

Yes this is the problem with the color choice-------but more than that it is very dificult to pull off a matte finish properly-------sometimes it looks like it is unfinished or just done on someones driveway-----but to the o.p dont give up on it and dont let the negative feedback throw you off------it is better to get honest opinion in here and hopefully it can help you in the long run------but i still think once u put some nice chromes on there the car will look ten times better---good luck again

The thing with any matte paint job, is you have to have the right accents. Like look at that camaro and the jag carefully. There's a lot of detail. Finished detail. Where it's very obvious the paint is intentional. Like there's a lot of vents, and accents, and areas that add contrast to the matte paint. The SCs stock body lines won't work with this. With an agressive hood and fenders with maybe some carbon accents this could definitely be pulled off

...and the fact of the expense of the car usually, as w/the Jag, etc- along with fit and finish quality.
Paint an old Ford Pinto in matte grey, and people will assume it's primer.
Unless you have something crazy done to the SC such as kit, and all supporting mods
I don't think an old SC can handle this paint without looking unfinished matte black factory SC is pushing the limit.
Dunno how matte white would look...
