k SO! steering fixed. Replaced the blower motor. Its a tad bit stronger but not much. Filter was cleaned also and still not that much of a diff. Just enough to where u can tell though. NEXT problem. The car didnt start for me the other day. Wont start when its cold out, but it will start no problem in the heat. SO im almost positive its the starter. Bought a starter today for $119. Of course the damn starter is a B!T*H to get too! I made an attempt at it today but stopped cause I was getting PISSED lol if anyone knows where a good DIY is with pics PLEASE let me know!

Is the car trying to spin over in the cold at all? Starter's usually aren't temperamental in different conditions. You can get the old one tested at AutoZone / Advanced Auto

Well buddy, the starter is not going to fix that. That will only help in it not turning over fast enough.

To test it, pull your front cover off over the spark plugs. Wait until it's been over night and it's cold. Put your key and turn it over three times. At that point fuel should be in the cylinder and pull the #1 plug (easiest to get to) and see if the plug is wet.

You also need to check to see if you're getting spark, take the boot off plug number one and put the plug in there OUTSIDE of the head (so in other words, take it completley out) and lay it on top of the motor. KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF THE METAL. Have a friend turn it over a few times to see if you see the spark plug arcing.

With it being cold and hot, usually imo, the most common problem is fuel delivery. The O2 Sensors, coolant temp sensor, etc all tell the ECU what to do. If the ECU doesn't think adding more fuel in is worth the time, it won't (i.e. bad sensor somewhere). I know these cars are starting to have issues with the ECU's going out too.

There seems to be a lot of issues with this car. Hopefully everything gets fixed soon and you can get some mods.

Good pickup. I would of told him $1000. Watch out for all the common sc400 problems. Let's see some pics so we could make a better judgement.
