How do these things even fit on the car?!? I never understood why giant 24 inch wheels cost $300 but a nice set of Work's cost like $2,000 for 18 inch wheel.

Because those giant shiny wheels are made of a ****/steel alloy and Work wheels are made of forged aluminum alloys and such.

22'' rims look so good on these cars.was in florida and saw many on that size and one staggered which inspired me.couldn't ask him nothing so been chasing ever since.got the rims for the low brand new in the box for $699. sc400 have the same bolt pattern as a get this (05-09 mustang,03-09 g35,g37 non brembo,04 2010 maxima,)which we share in common 5x4.50 bolt pattern,73.1 mm hub size and the correct offfset for a standard 22'' is +35 if you're using a 235-30-22 tire which need no mods whatsoever(not even front fender well removal) and the car can be lowered one full inch and toe/chamber remain the same.the rear is what i'm working on now.the +40 offset in the rear seems great right now but with the added audio may need rear fenders rolled.that's it that's all. will post pictures of my work so far.drove from one shop to another today to have the cats removed.still debating on the resonators(straight pipe and stock mufflers for right now).will have it back next day then go from there to find some one to roll the rear.check back for pics next week...........thanks my man!

This should be a simple guideline for our cars:

92-95 SCx00 Stock Body Style - 17" supra TT, 18"-19" of your choice.

97-00 SCx00 Stock Body Style - 17" supra TT, 18"-19" of your choice.

Any Year Body kitted SCx00 - 19-20" of your choice. 18" are fine but most stick with 19"

Dont go under dont go above.

Hmmmm.....Florida SC's would probably disagree with no 20"s on a stock 97+ SCX00, me being one of them.....haha. It's all good though everyone has their own thoughts and ideas as to the right size rims for our cars. IMO 20"s are perfect on 97+ SC's but not 92-96 SC's since they are missing the sideskirts and lower rear bumper.

My ride for reference....

P.R.S.22 there are always exceptions lol... your car looks great...i think it also depends on the kind of wheels.

I say go for it...if all these ricers/ drifters can put retarded offsets and stretch the crap out of the tires and trim and cut and camber and alter the sc body jus to be hellaflush don't see why you can't do it to make 22's fit..

22's with a nice bodykit should look nice..I'm actually thinking about getting a set for my cl55.

Haha....yes sir there will always be exceptions Thanks alot for the compliment Black_SC. In all fairness I do believe it does depend on what kind of wheels we are talking about and then go from there.

As always....even when his car was in its infant stages Scott's ride was looking great. Thank you for re-confirming what should be known to all members, with the correct kind of wheels a 97+ SC can pull of 20"s with no problems at all
