hks ssqv sound
just bought one today and installed it. i was expecting it to be a little louder. mine just makes a very very very short "chirp" like a bird. (i am running 15psi boost with silver insert). is yours making a very very very short and quiet "chirp" noise also? i can barely hear it with all my windows all the way up.
some one told me changing the insert makes a difference?
anyone have one on there car thats loud?

O ok ill try changing it it. cause it does make that annoying bird sound. I dont no if this works i was watching a video on you tube and some one took out the insert and didnt put anything back in and it was really loud but im not sure if thats bad for the car.

ive never had a turbo vehicle and my present will be my first when i decide on my turbo. but ive always wanted that gurgling sound that sounds like compressor surge. ive come to believe it was the hks ssqv. so thats what i bought but not all ive watched on vids sound like that. whats makes that sound. hks are pull type so there shouldnt be no compressor surge so ive ruled that out.
am i missing something here? i have the hks ssqv black version. what should i expect and which ones have the sound that im looking for?
EDIT: looks like i fell in love with compressor surge. Why does it have to be so bad?

You WANT that surge sound? Come on man, function over form on a turbo car especially when it comes to that 
. The insert is that small peice when you look at the opening of the inside of your SSQV- it has 3 "blades" going to each side as demonstrated in the above video. Take your BOV apart and just remove it, then reassemble. Super simple. And if you never have turkey surge, you're doing it right

im not gonna do it just for the sound and ruin my turbo. but if it wasnt bad for it or there was a BOV that produced it id have it. thats all.
