ac whistling

my air conditioner when turned up to certain speed whistles. What causes this? When I adjust the **** on both the vent and ac unit if i get the right combo the sound goes away.

But then comes back when a adjust something else. Its really ANNOYING!

i have the same problem when my ac vents r closed. so i just leave them open
