Default Brightest 1156 bulbs?

I decided against LED's because I've seen some in real life now and I didn't really like them (except those square panels) and I don't want to install loads to alleviate the quick clicking.

I know there are 1156's that are pretty bright, but it's so hard to tell off of people's advertisements. I got the sylvania bright 1156's and they weren't at all 30% brighter, there was almost no difference to me. I saw some on Ebay that said "show car or off road use only" and I wanted to get those, but now when I search I'm unable to find them.

Where can I find the brightest 1156's that aren't LED?

Any auto parts store has 55w halogen 1156 bulbs. The 1156 is for signal/reverse light. The 1157 has two filaments, so it is for the brake and tail bulb. A little known fact is that the 2357 bulb is the same size as the 1157, and pulls the same amps as the 1157 as a tailight, but pulls more amps a brakelight, which makes it brighter. I retrofitted the halogen 1156's and the 2357's in my LS, and the reverse light is like a spot light.

Very good info.

The "halogen" 1156's are garbage though. Those things suck. Well, not suck, but they aren't "30% brighter" like they claim.

I'll look into the 2357's though for brake/tail.

Before I put in sequential turn signals I want my turn signals to be nice and bright.

I'm talking about tail light and turn signal and backup bulbs. 1156 are the turn signals.
