sc300 70 mph vibration
My sc300 automatic has a wierd clunk at start up. It feels like a clunk from a starter or a mount but not sure. Also when I hit 70 mph it feels like a vibration almost like a bad wheel bearing but ,it doesnt vibrate the steering wheel at all just in the chasis . I kinda figure out it might be the center bearing ,the same problem I had in my 300zx twin turbo but it vibrates hard when i drive it hard and can feel it in the shifting console. I was wondering if anyone has these similiar trouble on their sc. Also the sc300 runs kinda bouncy but smooth at high speed kinda like my 300zx 95 twin turbo. Everyone let me know how your sc300 runs . thanks fellow sc300 owner

My SC would vibrate at around 70mph. Like you said the chassis would vibrate but not the steering wheel. It was that the rear wheels needed re-balancing. Simple as that and only $10 to fix.

Toyota's are bulletproof, it must be the earth wobbling under the sheer force exerted by the 2JZ.
I used to have that same problem, solved by a re-alignment.
Check your mounts, it definitely could also be shot rubbers. Never use shot rubbers. I go through them pretty fast but some people have to remember to throw them out after they've been neglected for long periods of time.
Prepare to empty your wallet. I can't believe you've been using the same rubber for 17 years...

So, I installed my 19"s for the first time this year and holy wobble batman. I can't drive over 65mph without the steering wheel feeling like it wants to break off. It shakes like a hooker in church. It's completely fine up to 65mph...then bam, complete chaos. I'm just taking back roads to avoid highway speeds, but I want this fixed ASAP.

Flex Coupler
I just replaced my coupler and it helped with shifter /chassis vibrations and clunky engagement.
Still a bit of vibration on steering wheel, I think LCA' bushings are shot tho.
I had vibrations from wheel spacers too.
Check for;
Bent rims F&R
uneven tire wear
tire balance
trans support mount
flex coupler
control arm bushings
maybe rack too
Post what the culprit was when you figure it out.
