I might have... lol... and the ballasts weren't mounted too great either lol. Now that I'm done school I'll have the time to do it properly.

The Genesis sucks. I raced a genesis just a couple days back and put it in its place too.

I was cruising on a local road going 42 in a 35, and apparently that wasn't fast enough for some jerk in the gen coupe behind me. He started blowing his horn at me, then gunned it to pass me. By the time I saw what he was doing, he was already on my side in full acceleration. I floored it and after about 1/2 mile, he still couldn't pass me. He called it quits and moved back behind me when he had to make his turn off the road.

I don't know if he had the 2.0T or the 3.8, but I'm just glad I put that loser in his place. Stupid kids think they're hot s*** just cuz they got some new toy, but push comes to shove, their brand new Genesis still lost to the good ol' SC400, unmodded with 125k on a 4-spd autobox, and still running strong.

This doesn't surprise me at all. The 1uz was / is probably a much better quality engine than the majority of the budget built engines today. The sc400 is not a slow car by any means.
