Just peel back the trunk liner and there's three 10mm nuts you need to remove (don't drop them!) and it should pop right out.

Peel the rug back, theres a few clips holding the rug to the car. While doing that, use a 10mm socket to get those 4 nuts off for each taillight and once you do that the whole unit will pop right out. Goodluck.

Also the lock mechanism for the trunk is easy to figure out. I forgot what you need to remove it though, a screw driver? lol

The trunk lock has two extra bolts. It's probably for that.

Well, I have an SC4. And I'm not sure if it's the same for the SC3, but to remove the tail lights there are the 3nuts around the trunk lock mechanism and two more on the side of the tail light... Eeee explanation seems winded. But makes sense yah?

LOL - it seems everyone is, for the most part, in agreement. Technically there are 4 bolts holding the tailight in place, leaving 2 for the trunk lock mechanism... So 6 total, or apparently 5 with your math skills
