I wasnt to sure of how the 1jz/2jz map wiring went, so based on Ali's post on page 7 post #98. I have made this little diagram of how I think it all goes with the sc3xx MAF wiring to the map sensor connector plug.

Please correct me if Im wrong and ill redo the diagram.

on a side note. Glad to see my diagram being used and edited on this thread from clubna-t

Yeah, It was a good diagram, just had to remove the whole aem part to make it work with the TT ecu mod.

Ali, is the above connector wiring diagram correct for the MAF > JZ map? If it is, post on the first page to make things easier for others.

Ok so i put my lab coat on today and i might have some good news i havnt switched to coils or 440's yet my main focus today was the code 31 and THAT ISH IS GONE SON! lol i put in the new map i got the other day and i didnt get a code 31 anymore even revved better still ****ty but better and the only codes i get now are 14 and 21 so im eager to get my coils and injectors to see if it runs like ali's. And yes i tested my other 1jz map and as soon as i started the car i got the code 31 IMMEDIATELY!!!

So to you sj408 try and find another map and i hope u can get the smile i had today haha!

Hey ali whats the cheapest and most common coils i could find on the daily i wanna try and do this, this weekend so you can finally finish this write up.

Quick has some vvti coils for cheap.... easiest way to go cause you can use the cheaper and more common camry igniter as well.

did you ever test the signal voltage? maybe i did it wrong but i seem to have 4v at the signal wire key on engine off

Naw i didnt check the voltage on that but when i did check it the first time with the 1j map i got like 2.5v with ignition on and that is what its supposed to be but that map was still bad

guys... what would it mean if my signal wire is reading 4.2 volts???? it seems thats why my car is running rich now and runs like **** but once it hits boost it smooths out cause it seems to be using the extra fuel.

would it be a bad ecu then? 4.2 volts at signal wire?

either a bad map sensor like six sense or you may have the ground and power wire switched, the diagram of the connector above looks right to me.

cheapest ignitor is the DS-62.
coils:
option 1 is vvti coils and wires, more expensive but the best option
option 2 is 7mgte coils and wires, which is the cheapest option but you have to deal with mounting these enormous coils and they are older and more prone to fail.

hmmnnn i did this reading with the map unplugged, gonna plug it in and see what it reads. I was reading off of the pin 62 wire and the brown ground

edit: Even with map plugged in properly the signal wire is reading 4.2 volts..... as does the blue one i believe

This leads me to believe for some reason my ecu is putting out too much voltage to pin 62 therefore making my map think that im like 3/4 throttle all the time and dumping fuel soooooooooooooooo bad ecu?

ali... im about to give you a free trip to vegas so you can help me LOL it feels like im sooooooooooooo close. i need to get this thing running

yeah, i dunno man im not sure why that pin 62 would put out 4.2v. I just need someone to tell me that yes thats a faulty ecu and ill order it right away.
