Pssshhh.. stock 1JZ bov, time to replace?
What you think guys?
Should I replace the stock 1JZ bov with an aftermarket one? Still going to run with the stock boost for awhile. I just have a bit of money left for a mod, and I've been looking at some, Greddy, HKS, and ARC.
What would you guys suggest?

get rid of it, it's a poor design IMO. Instead of the valve relieving/recirculating pressure like most poppet valve BOV designs, it fights against boost pressure to open and recirculate. Although it makes it less prone to boost leaks throught the BOV, it makes for poor response which just isn't worth it. I just picked up an ARC one today, i'll let you know how it works out.

I installed a Tial Q BOV in my intercooler piping and built a custom block off plate for the OEM bypass valve. For the pressure side, I used an aftermarket oil pan drain plug (for stripped threads, rubber expanding type) to fill the ~1/2" hole in the pipe. System works flawlessly with absolutely no leaks and sounds phenomenal!
If going with Tial Q on the 1JZ, you will need a stiffer spring which does add cost.
