Default Fog light HID installed

Hi folks.. I'm just wondering how did you guys install the HID on your fog lights? I was torn at the begining as I didn't want to leave the housing open. I thought that I'd have to break the back cover apart then all of a sudden I came up with an idea

Well, its probably have been done but this is what I did.

Lots of pix.. bare with me...

Enjoy!!!

Good idea personally I cut a big hole in the center cap big enough for the bulb to fit then use the rubber stopped to silicone it (well i tried my cut was to jagged and off and that raised top piece I didnt cut out and after I tried it was so jagged. So I went with a staple gun and stapled it closed. Works great a little condensation during rain but thats about it.

Now I feel better... Tried to make it as clean as possible... All pix are off driver side. I pretty much did the same on passenger side.

Thanks 24boosted and nfordhk. I did somewhat seal it with heat glue but just the corner. Need to buy silicon to put around the wires....

HID from DDM. Thought I try their ApexCone Raptor one then maybe next time i'll buy the slim ballast.

Wow you got the ballast to sit up there? Nice i put mine on the crash bad? Yeah i was stumped on how to put the wires in also. Where did you ground it exactly? I put mines in other slot of the cap ( really bad at describing) and i just zipped tied it. I didn't silicone it or anything i left a small opening. It just hit spring in So-cal so shouldn't have to worry about condensation for awhile

I got the exact same kit too! Its a little bluer than i like but its nice.

Check out the 2nd pix. My ground wire has a little harness. I tapped it there then the positive to the other side and put the cap on the housing

Oh yeah... I got 55W 5000K for lowbeam headlight and 35W 5000K for the fogs.... The fogs do look bluish. Couldn't quite see how it looks since its day time. I guess we'll see tonight.

wow its bluish at 5000k? Mines are 6000k and they are pretty blue too bad the fogs housing project the light everywhere so it isn't concentrated in one spot.. I accidently cut one of the rubber weather thing QQ but yeah it held up fine. The double side that DDM gives you SUCKS! I mounted both of them and went for a drive and they ballast fell off, luckily i had some extra 3m double side leftover

6000k 55watts for low beams and 6000k for fogs 35watt

Thats the way i did it.
